Lost & Found: Adventures in Travel and Becoming Me
Hi, I’m Sarah, professional overthinker turned adventurer. I’m somewhere between “Let’s book the flight” and “Wait, what am I doing with my life?” After leaving my job, a breakup, and my comfort zone behind, I decided to stop living on autopilot and start chasing sunsets, self-discovery, and the kind of freedom that makes you say, “Fuck it we only live once” is is what life’s about!” When I’m not writing my book or snapping pictures of nature that I swear are art, you’ll find me hunting for the best street food, getting lost (both literally and metaphorically), or journaling my thoughts like the main character I secretly believe I am.
Join me as I wander the world, share my real thoughts, and figure out this crazy thing called life, one chaotic adventure at a time.

My First Hostel Experience
My first hostel experience was terrifying - big pink luggage, no preparation, and overwhelming anxiety. Then I met Max, a friendly Australian who introduced me to his group and helped me feel at ease. Social hostels soon became my favourite, as connecting with others taught me so much about myself.
I started in a private room out of fear but quickly realised dorms are where the magic happens. I met Melissa from Germany, and now we’ve planned a reunion in 2025. That hostel became “our second home,” full of comfort, friendly staff, and lasting memories.
I learned that noise-canceling AirPods are a must, and setting boundaries is essential. Saying no to plans or taking a break is perfectly okay. That first hostel didn’t just teach me how to travel—it taught me how to embrace new experiences and find my people.
